    Description

1/6 PLATE DAGUERREOTYPE - SUPERB TINTED BOTTLE CURLED CHARMER - INSIDE FULL CASE WITH ORIGINAL HINGE -
The sixth plate contains the most luscious bottle curled charmer you will find here on Ebay. She has the look of bewilderment upon her cute cherub face having most likely been her first trip to this operator's studio. The plate had subtle hand tinting applied to her dress and her coral necklace received an even bolder application of color and gilding. She was seated in a painted back chair in her doll-like pose. Her
silvery likeness resides in a beautiful full case with a vase of flowers pressed into the leather on both sides. Good luck to all my clientele landing this gorgeous cased cutie pie from the 1850's.
    CONDITION
: Please view my detailed photos for the actual condition of this image and as part of my description. I have resealed this plate with P90 archival tape and replaced the old cover glass with a new sheet for your enjoyment. The daguerreotype contains excellent contrast, tonal range and sharpness. Her dress and necklace both have expertly applied color and gold accents. The plate has some minor satellite spots seen in the background, but the subject has been spared any imperfections. The case retains the original hinge, both working latches and a brilliant red velvet pillow adjacent to her likeness. I will carefully package this cased image to the winning bidder by Priority Mail.
