The RainGear windshield wiper system for 55-59 Chevy and GMC truck features a 2-speed motor, with heavy duty components, water sealed electronics and
comes complete less assembly lube, arms and blades, escutcheons and model-specific knobs for the switch however all those stock components will fit on this system, including your original wiper arms and blades. This system is controlled by switch included in the kit and must be used
due to the fact that GM switches control the wiper motor via the ground wire and RainGear systems must be controlled by switching the positive wire. This
unit cannot be controlled by any General Motors column-mounted wiper switches. Additionally, it will fit all 55-59 GM trucks except for those with cross-mount master cylinders installed due to interference between the two.
