Antique Chinese Cherry Amber Bakelite Vase Elephant 1170 Grams

Description

This is a beautiful Chinese cherry amber bakelite covered urn style vase.  It is heavily carved throughout.  The lid has a carved elephant on top.  The urn and the lid are very heavy and very thick. The vase is mounted on a lamp base which comes apart.  There are screws from the wood base which is glued to the cherry amber bakelite bottom.  Those screws go into the lamp base, not the cherry amber bakelite.  The urn is NOT drilled through.  It will hold water.  There are no cracks inside or out.  There is no damage to the carving anywhere.  It is all in excellent condition.
The vase with the lid measures 11 1/2" tall.  Please see the photos for the measurements.  The weight of the vase with the lid on is 1170 grams total.   The vase alone weighs 921 grams, and the lid alone weighs 249.47 grams.  See photos of weights with each piece on the scale.
