    Description

This aboriginal stone hand/grinding tool has been identified as coming from the Blackfoot, Dene, Or Stoney/Nakoda/Sioux tribes. As it was found in Southern Alberta, I've identified it as Native American to fit in with the Ebay search engine - with a mind that indigenous peoples are part of the "Americas" but not necessarily the U.S. This piece and 3 others (including another larger pestle, hand-grinding tool, and a carved stone Snake Pipe-Head) have been in my family for over 100 years when they came into the possession of my grandparents - who'd settled in southern Alberta in the early 1900’s.
