Rare French & Indian War Tomahawk. This is a museum quality American Indian tomahawk that is of the same that was used by the Indians during the most bloody French and Indian wars of 1754-1763. This type of hwr had very little utilitarian use and the Indians were very fond of this type of hawk, and used these hawks to slew their enemies at every opportunity.
After the French and Indian war was over, many of the fur trade companies traded these hawks to the Indians.
22” long. Hawk head is of very good cast steel. 5” high. Blade edge is 3 1/2” . Ha doe appears to be original to the hawk head. Handle is a bit loose because wood is very dry. Given a bit of moisture, handle will become very tight.
This is one of more than a dozen hawks that came out of the Tex Mulnite collection, Windsorville, Connecticut.
Will be a life time before you ever see such a high quality hawk on eBay for my giveaway price.
