Vintage Large Lucky Monkey Double-Handled Vase Hand Painted Ceramic Chinoiserie. This tall colorful hand-painted vintage vase in the Majolica style is in excellent used condition with no chips and minor wear and paint loss consistent with age and use as seen in photos. Measuring approximately 13” to the top of the monkeys’ hats, 10” across the widest parts handle to handle and 4 1/2” across the square base, this is a large and very unique vase. The pair of monkeys forming the handles are garbed in red vests and caps and perch atop the scalloped rim with their feet resting on a rich petaled orb resting on a bok choy or other leafy base. With a glossy finish in most places, and rich greens, tans, golds and blues, this is a perfect Chinoiserie piece for display or use. There are some markings on the bottom as pictured in the final photo. *I did not test it to see if it is water fast*.
